SPOT-MAS 10 is a blood-based multi-cancer early detection test designed to identify cancer-associated signals across 10 cancer types from a single blood sample. The test analyses cell-free DNA circulating in the blood and may indicate the likely tissue or organ of origin when a cancer-associated signal is detected.

How It Works
A blood sample is collected using the dedicated SPOT-MAS collection kit. Cell-free DNA is isolated from plasma and analysed using genetic, epigenetic and DNA fragmentation patterns combined with machine-learning analysis.
The laboratory report indicates whether a cancer-associated signal has been detected and may provide information about the predicted tissue of origin.
Who May Consider This Test?
This test may be considered by adults who:
- Want broader cancer screening from a single blood sample
- Are looking for screening beyond cancers covered by established screening programmes
- Have no current cancer diagnosis but want additional preventive screening
- Do not necessarily have a family history of cancer
Important Information
This is a screening test, not a diagnostic test.
A positive result does not confirm cancer and requires further medical assessment. A negative result does not completely exclude cancer. SPOT-MAS should be used alongside, not instead of, recommended cancer screening. This test does not assess inherited cancer risk and is not intended for people with a known cancer diagnosis.
