Typical Use
Required for collecting samples for the Helicobacter pylori ¹³C urea breath test. This is not a standalone test and must be purchased with laboratory processing.
Preparation
Test kit only. 1. Exhale into the “00 Minute” Breath Bag until full, then immediately close the cap tightly. 2. Add 100 mL of water to the container to dissolve the ¹³C granules. Mix well and drink the entire contents immediately. 3. Remain seated for 30 minutes. Avoid getting up unless necessary to minimise bowel movement. 4. At 30 minutes, immediately exhale into the “30 Minute” Breath Bag until full. The collection time may vary by no more than ±5 minutes. Close the cap tightly. 5. Wrap Parafilm around the cap threads to prevent the cap from loosening. 6. Send both breath bags to the laboratory.
