The Diabetes Risk Panel combines three measured biomarkers with a calculated HOMA-IR index to provide a broader assessment of glucose regulation and insulin resistance.
The panel includes:
- Fasting Glucose: Measures the current blood-glucose level after fasting.
- Haemoglobin A1c (HbA1c): Reflects average blood-glucose exposure over approximately the previous two to three months.
- Fasting Insulin: Measures insulin levels after fasting.
- HOMA-IR: Uses fasting glucose and insulin results to estimate insulin resistance.
This panel may support screening and assessment for prediabetes, diabetes and insulin resistance and can help monitor changes in metabolic health. Results should be interpreted alongside symptoms, medical history and other clinical information. Abnormal glucose or HbA1c results may require confirmatory testing.
